How to use BioHansa™ straw pellets
INITIAL FILLING:
The amount of straw pellets required depends on the box size. For the initial filling of a 10 m² box you need 9 x 15 kg bags (135 kg pellets). The bottom of the box is covered with a 3-5 cm thick layer of straw pellets.
CARE:
For daily care, only remove the areas that are soaked with excrement. Because only a minimal amount of litter is removed each day, the box does not need to be filled daily. 1 bag (15 kg) is enough for 4 days. You will need a total of around 1400 kg of straw pellets per year for a 10 m² box. Thanks to the good absorption and absorption properties of straw pellets, 60-70% less waste is generated compared to litter or wood chips. The straw pellet bedding is biodegradable and, after being removed from the box, breaks down within 2 to 3 weeks into a high-quality natural fertilizer that can be scattered on the fields and meadows.
