Wood shavings and peat are the most popular and used bedding materials. The advantages of peat are excellent moisture absorption, good ammonia absorption and low pH, which prevents the growth of bacteria and fungi.
The wood shavings let liquid and urine go through, are dust-free and prevent peat from compacting. The wood shavings and peat mix bring out both materials’ positive advantages.
The wood shavings and peat mix is much more versatile and practical than many other bedding products thanks to its multifunctioning structure. The peat fibres mix together with the shavings, so there are no bedding piles or bare spots on the floor level.
This bedding mix does not contain dangerous substances, microorganisms or fungi that can harm animals or people. It is also GMO-free and does not contain, for example, weed seeds, nematodes or other harmful factors.
Ingredients
The mixing contains 25% litter wood, 65% peat (0-10 mm) and 10% peat fibre. The pH value of the litter is 3.5-4.5, humidity 35-45%. Heat conduction (1:1) 0.05-0.2 mS/cm.
